Mental Health

Mattie Rhodes Center employs a family systems, strengths-based model of bilingual and bicultural therapeutic and social services. We provide support, guidance, and tools to address personal needs and difficult circumstances, and intervention services. Our staff follow a philosophy that recognizes the importance of knowledge and respect for culture, ethnicity, and religious values.  Clients receive professional, comprehensive services in an environment where they feel their culture is valued, their language is spoken, and they are treated with dignity and compassion.

Clinically trained, licensed therapists use a variety of treatment modalities––family-systems therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psycho-educational methods, play therapy, and solution-focused therapy––in working with clients. Therapists help clients to improve individual, interpersonal, social, and overall functioning. Family members are often included in the process.

Social work case managers provide linkages for clients to services in the community. They work with individuals and families to access services related to: education, employment, legal services, public assistance, health and dental care, housing, and many other services. Staff may accompany clients to appointments to interpret and support and advocate for their clients.
