Summer Art Camps at Mattie Rhodes Center
Mattie Rhodes Center summer camp dates are here for 2025! Please note, pick up and drop-off will be at the Mattie Rhodes Cultural Center at 1701 Jarboe, KCMO 64108.
Itty Bitty Art Camps
Day camp designed especially for our youngest artists ages 2-5. A great opportunity for our littlest artists to get into ART!
Hours: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm Days: Tuesday – Friday Fee $60.00 per child All supplies are included plus snack

NEW! Music & Art 2-Day Workshop
Join us for an exciting new workshop designed for our young artists who have a passion for the arts! In this interactive 2-day experience, participants will explore the dynamic relationship between music and visual arts. Each day will feature hands-on activities that blend creativity with rhythm, allowing kids to express themselves through both mediums.
Days: July 1 & 2 Hours: 9am – 3pm both days
Ages 6 – 12 Fee: $60 per student
Includes all materials and snack
Kids Camps
The summer camp that is all about art!
Our Kids Art Camps are unique and offer many opportunities for kids to get creative, have fun, learn new skills in art, and use their imagination! Students will engage in 5 creative areas of art instruction led by experienced art instructors that will help students gain confidence in their work, give guidance in creative challenges, and push all students to their full potential. Kids will build friendships and long-lasting memories along with some truly amazing art!
Days: Tuesday – Friday Hours: 9:00am – 3:30pm
Ages: 5 – 12 Fee: $175 per week
Includes all materials, snacks and an art camp t-shirt
* Please bring a sack lunch each day.

Teen Art Camp
We invite interested teens to participate in 4 days where creativity knows no bounds! Students will engage in hands-on lessons led by experienced instructors, providing personalized guidance and encouragement to help each artist discover their unique style. Students will have access to various materials and tools, allowing them to experiment and innovate in their artwork. Teen Art Camp is not only about developing artistic skills but also about making lasting friendships and memories. Whether you’re a budding artist or looking to hone your skills, Teen Art Camp promises an inspiring and supportive environment that celebrates creativity and self-expression. Don’t miss this chance to unleash your imagination and be a part of a memorable experience!
