Mattie Rhodes Center offers a variety of youth and young adult services designed to enhance personal, interpersonal, artistic, and educational achievement, through the following services:

Our youth programs

Our youth programs provide innovative, educational out-of-school programs that focus on life skills such as conflict resolution, cultural tolerance, dealing with peer pressure and character building – all of which are critical in preventing the cycle of bullying , violent behavior, substance abuse and crime.

Westside Arts Education Program

Mattie Rhodes Center’s After School Arts Education program serves students from Kindergarten through 6th grade and focuses on providing a safe, creative space where students can explore the arts while building critical life skills.

Our Northeast after school programs utilize the arts to help students build character development, learn how to have a positive self-image, make good choices, create strategies for dealing with peer pressure.

Soccer for Success

A free after-school program that uses soccer as a tool to address children’s health issues and violence prevention, while promoting healthy lifestyles in urban underserved communities.
