Mattie Rhodes’ Public Health Services aim to increase accessibility and affordability of healthcare among low-income and uninsured individuals.
Health Outreach Events
MRC looks to facilitate health outreach opportunities such as health fairs and community-based events in order to connect our community to essential resources and increase awareness of our collaborative partners. LA CLINICA
La Clinica by Mattie Rhodes Center was developed to help people lead a healthier lifestyle by providing access to affordable and bilingual (Spanish and English) medical care services for those who may not have traditional insurance. Opened in 2023 at MR’s Historic Northeast location, it is a bilingual community health center offering the area’s low-income residents primary care for acute and chronic conditions at a minimal amount of $35 per visit.
The goal is to increase healthcare access and equity for Spanish-speaking Latino families in the Historic Northeast who are uninsured. In partnership with the Medina Clinic, La Clinica is open for 4 hours every Friday afternoon to provide access to a Board-certified family physician, a bilingual nurse practitioner, and a community health worker.
