Day of the Dead Opening Celebration

Join us in the opening celebration of our Annual Day of teh Dead exhibition! Stop by our Cultural Center to view community altars, beautiful art, and shop local vendors and food trucks.

Day of the Dead Calaca Parade

First Friday, November 7th | 6PM
MRC Cultural Center, 1701 Jarboe, KCMO 64108

Experience our Calaca Light-Up Parade as we walk through the Westside neighborhood! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors. Don’t forget to dress up and bring photos of loved ones who have passed. End the parade by stopping at our street festival for tasty food trucks, local vendors, and entertainment. Make your last stop with one more look our ofrendas and art exhibit!

During the Day of the Dead season, we will have a variety of workshops available! Join artist Zelaznogzil as she leads a Day of the Dead themed sip and paint session. Our MRC staff will also host two workshops: one focused on making flower crowns and another on decorating mini ofrendas.
