Join us for Opening Night on First Friday, May 1st from 6–9 PM at Mattie Rhodes Cultural Center, 1701 Jarboe St, KCMO. Celebrate art, cultura, and comunidad with us! Enjoy an evening filled with incredible artwork, local vendors, food trucks, live music by DJ Mztekcah, and lowriders from KC Estilo.

EXHIBIT WORKSHOPS

Cruz’s Flash Workshop –
Thursday, May 21st, 6pm-8pm
Cruz Martinez will lead a workshop that shows how to create a tattoo flash design. Choose from a variety of stations, as he shows the step-by-step process fo creating tattoo flash artwork to take home with you!

Open Mic Night
Thursday, May 28th, 7pm-10pm
Join us for a cozy, bilingual poetry open mic hosted by the Bicultural Poetry Program and Poetic Underground. Enjoy free cafecito con pan dulce and listen or share original poems in English, Spanish, or both!

PACHANGA
Friday, June 5th, 6pm-10pm
Come join us for our annual Culture and Art festival, Pachanga! Explore our Cultural Center and view powerful works of art, activities for kids, food and merch vendors, music by DJ Mztekcah and DJ Munch and lowriders from KC Estilo.

Film Night
Wednesday, June 17th, 6pm-9pm
Bringing back a crowd favorite from last year! We will be showing yet another classic Chicano film, accompanied by trivia – with prizes! This year we will be watching a film on tattoo culture. More details to come!
