CALL TO ARTISTS – Dia de los Muertos 2017

Mattie Rhodes Art Gallery is excited to announce the 19th Annual Dia de los Muertos Exhibition! This show celebrates the rich color and history of the traditional Mexican Holiday. As always, we invite artists and community members to create traditional and non-traditional altars and/or Day of the Dead inspired artwork to exhibit at the Mattie Rhodes Art Gallery.

We encourage families and artists to create works and altars with new and original themes to keep the exhibition an engaging experience for all visitors.

Submission Deadline Info:

• “Intent to Exhibit” Deadline – 09/25
• Artwork Drop Off Dates – 09/26 – 10/01

All applicants must submit a proposal to create an altar in the exhibition.  Applicants must also attend one of the altar-making discussions & workshops. Spaces are limited & available on a first come-first serve basis.
